Job summary

Allegan Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional - Title I Intervention to provide instructional support in a Title I funded program at Allegan Elementary. The role involves assisting in Tier 2 reading and math interventions, communicating with staff and parents, and supporting classroom teachers.

The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule (7 hours per day, 35 hours per week) during the school year, with compensation based on the Paraprofessional Bargaining Unit Agreement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required, with 60+ college credits or a passing score on the ETS Parapro Assessment.
• Previous experience in childcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support in Tier 2 reading and math intervention.
• Assist teacher with drill activities for individuals or small groups.
• Support teachers in follow-up activities and in-class instruction.
• Proctor state assessments (M-STEP) as assigned.
• Complete daily time and effort logs detailing activities and students assisted.
