Job summary

Falcon Hill Elementary School in Mesa, Arizona is seeking an Instructional Assistant - Title I for part-time support. Under direct supervision, you will assist the classroom teacher and interventionist with reading, writing, and math for students who are academically disadvantaged.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 60 college credit hours required at time of hire or pass the district ParaPro Test free of charge.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) may be preferred at some sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in groups to reinforce skills and oversee learning activities.
• Follow written plans to supplement classroom instruction.
• Support classroom teacher and interventionist with Reading, Writing, and Math.
• Assist with classroom computer instruction and translations when necessary.
• Participate in professional development to enhance student achievement.
• Attend regularly and perform related duties to ensure smooth operation.
