Job summary

Hyannis West Elementary in Barnstable Public Schools is seeking a Title I Math Teacher to deliver targeted math interventions and support at-risk students. Immediate starting date and full-time employment are anticipated, with salary governed by the Barnstable Teachers Association contract.

The ideal candidate holds Elementary Certification, preferably with Mathematics Certification, and is highly qualified in the subject matter.

Qualifications

Elementary teaching certification required in Massachusetts
Mathematics certification preferred
Must be Highly Qualified in subject matter
Previous teaching experience preferred
Strong planning and organizational skills
Ability to motivate students
Competency with math content and teaching instructional strategies

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver supplemental math curriculum for students at greatest risk in mathematics.
Use student data (tests, grades, work samples, recommendations) to identify students needing supplemental services.
Monitor and document student progress.
Collaborate with classroom teachers and student support personnel to boost achievement.
Work cooperatively with grade level school-based teams.
Participate in all district Title I activities
