Job summary

DEED | Department of Education & Early Development in Alaska seeks a data and training specialist to support Title I-C services for migratory children. You will partner with state and district staff to develop recruitment plans, create training materials, and ensure accurate statewide data reporting.

Responsibilities include statewide data collections, reporting to state and federal entities, and occasional travel to remote Alaska communities, with telework permitted for eligible roles and

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college, preferably in administration and/or education, plus required experience.
• Six years of experience in education, counseling or administrative services, with two years in technical/paraprofessional roles.
• Any combination of the above.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with state and district staff to provide training and TA for recruitment and identification of migratory children.
• Develop recruitment plans, timelines, and procedures; produce training materials; and ensure efficient processing of student records.
• Manage statewide Title I-C data collections and submit reports to state and federal stakeholders.
• Query data systems and verify accuracy before submission to Alaska Department of Education & Early Development and the U.S. Department of Education.
• Travel to remote Alaska communities for trainings; some overnights may be required.
