Job summary

Niles Community Schools is seeking a Title 1 Math Instructional Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time position requires effective communication and professionalism for daily interaction with students, staff, and families, and reports to the Building Principal.

Applicants must meet Michigan standards: two years of college (60 hours) or an Associate's Degree or higher, or pass a state assessment.

Qualifications

• All Instructional Assistants must meet one of the required educational standards.
• Strong oral and written communication with a diverse population.
• Ability to interact professionally with students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing educational activities under teacher direction.
• Supervise students and support small groups as needed.
• Participate in meetings and district activities.
• Assist with classroom management and behavior support.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist data collection.
• Support students in special instructional activities and transitions.
• Follow medical and safety protocols for students.
