Job summary

Fairfield Community Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant: Title 1 at New Paris Elementary School to support Title 1 Teachers with small-group math and English intervention.

The role requires 180 school days, 29.5–37.5 hours per week, and a commitment to professionalism and student success; background check required; 18+ and HS diploma. This is a grant-funded position with competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Have at least a high school diploma or GED.
• Some college coursework or professional environment experience/training preferred, but not required.
• Complete and pass an Expanded Criminal Background and CPS Check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver small group and individualized lessons.
• Follow provided curriculum/materials.
• Manage and support individuals or small groups of students and guide them through daily activities.
• Support progress monitoring with activity logs/records/reports as needed.
• Occasionally serve as a substitute for an unfilled classroom teacher's absence.
• Various student supervision duties as assigned for arrival, classes, lunches, recess, dismissal, etc.
• Participate in meetings as required.
• Promote a positive and professional image of the district at all times.
• Follow all rules, policies, procedures and guidelines of Fairfield Community Schools.
• Other duties as assigned by building principal and/or supervisor.
