Job summary

ATI is seeking a Sample and Conditioning Operator for our Bakers facility in Monroe, NC. You will sample and condition titanium ingots using multiple machines, ensuring conformity to customer expectations with attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities include reading work orders, operating grinders and cutting tools, inspecting finished materials, labeling, and maintaining logs. A HS diploma and basic computer skills are required; manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders from shipping and melt department.
• Operate swing grinders, hand grinders, gas cutting torch, manual bander, and various fork trucks.
• Use drill press to sample titanium ingots.
• Detect and report any defective materials or improper operations.
• Transfer ingots onto roller to begin chamfering and beveling the edge.
• Visually inspect the finished material before sending to the next department.
• Stamp materials with proper labels.
• Maintain logs and records.
• Follow and implement all prescribed safety rules and regulations.
