Are you looking for a mission-driven career? Lifeline of Ohio coordinates and promotes organ, eye, and tissue donation across Ohio. We are seeking a Tissue Recovery Technician to join our Tissue Recovery team.

Major Role Description

In alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Lifeline of Ohio, the Tissue Technician coordinates clinical aspects of tissue recovery in collaboration with referral centers and other partner services. This role involves evaluating patient referrals for donor suitability and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Schedule and Employment Details

• This is a full-time, benefits-eligible role. The shift is NIGHT SHIFT (7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.).
• Schedule typically includes 3 or 4 shifts per week, with flexibility required due to varying donor activity.

Tissue Recovery & Coordination Responsibilities

• Recover tissue for transplant and research purposes.
• Prepare operating rooms and assist with the recovery process.
• Work closely with Tissue Coordinators to perform physical exams and document findings.
• Verify donor identity and ensure proper packaging and shipping of tissues.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including documentation and testing.

Requirements

• Experience in healthcare, anatomy, sterile techniques, or related fields preferred.
• High school diploma required.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
• Regular attendance is essential.
