Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of on-the-job histology training program.

Responsibilities

• Performs manual techniques and operates instruments for embedding and microtomy, including paraffin and frozen sections.
• Selects, performs, and monitors staining procedures and evaluates reagent quality and controls.
• Records specimens, routes them correctly, and cross-references specimens.
• Operates and monitors lab equipment such as refrigerators, water baths, ovens, and cryostats.
