Job summary

BYOT Auto Parts in Elm Mott, Texas is seeking a Full-time Tire Technician to prepare vehicles for recycling, operate tire machines, and move tires and rims to the retail area and yard. You’ll help load shipping trucks and maintain a safe, organized work space.

Requirements include a High School diploma, at least 1 year of tire machine experience, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work outdoors with variable schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to safely use industrial tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Wear required PPE at all times.
• Ensure compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations.
• Prepare vehicles for placement in the yard.
• Assist in relocating vehicles from the drain rack to the customer parts yard.
• Remove trash and items from vehicles prior to moving to processing area.
• Move items such as batteries, wheels, and tires to the retail sales area.
• Inspect the customer yard for loose parts and place into vehicles or bins.
• Operate tire machine.
• Remove tires from rims.
• Stage tires and rims to the proper location.
• Assist in loading shipping trucks.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
• Flexible to work variable schedules, including weekends.
• Other duties as assigned.
