Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a tire service technician to join our shop in Stockton, CA. You will mount, dismount, inspect, repair, inflate, and balance commercial truck tires and wheel assemblies, using approved tools and safety procedures.

Qualifications include mechanical aptitude, ability to work in a fast-paced team, and a valid driver's license preferred. Prior commercial tire experience is a plus but not required. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial tire service experience preferred but not required.
• Experience mounting/dismounting commercial tires is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn tire service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Mount and dismount commercial truck tires using approved tools and procedures.
• Inspect tires, wheels, and rims for damage and wear; report safety concerns.
• Repair tires per company and industry standards; patching/plugging as needed.
• Install and remove tire/wheel assemblies; inflate and check for leaks.
• Assist with balancing tires and wheel assemblies when required.
• Identify tires needing repair, replacement, or further inspection.
• Maintain a clean, safe tire slab and work area; follow safety procedures.
• Operate tire-changing equipment, jacks, and impact tools as directed.
