Job summary

Love's Travel Stops in Wichita, KS is seeking Tire Technicians to join a fast-paced shop environment, serving customers and drivers from all over. No experience is required—on-the-job training is provided, and the role offers career growth opportunities with the team.

You will perform tire sales, removals, and replacements for commercial vehicles, maintain the store, and follow safety procedures. Training for a DOT medical card is paid by Love’s.

Qualifications

• No prior tire technician experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in variable temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of sale, removal, and replacement of tires for commercial vehicles in shop and roadside service.
• Maintain the store facility including general housekeeping and equipment repair.
• Move and lift heavy tires and work in tight spaces; comply with safety policies.
• Follow rotating day/night shifts as needed and ensure customer safety and satisfaction.
• Possess ability to obtain a medical card through the DOT, paid by Love’s.

Job Functions

• Take ownership of the sale, removal, and replacement of tires up to, but not limited to, commercial vehicles in shop and roadside service.
• Be responsible for equipment repair and maintenance of the store facility including general housekeeping duties.
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
