Job summary

Savage Services in Utah is hiring a Tire Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain tires across shop, yard, field, and roadside locations. This role supports preventative maintenance and DOT compliance while maintaining inventory and records.

Applicants should be able to work Thursday to Sunday, 5 pm–2 am, and lift up to 100 pounds. We offer excellent medical/dental/vision, PTO, holidays, profit sharing, and a 401(k) with match.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tire maintenance practices, DOT requirements, and maintenance recordkeeping.
• Ability to identify equipment service needs and prioritize maintenance activities.
• Experience working on equipment in demanding operating environments preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to recognize limitations and seek assistance when needed.
• One year of tire technician experience preferred.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely inspect, repair, mount, and replace tires in accordance with the Savage Tire Manual.
• Perform tire and maintenance service work in the shop, yard, field, and on roadside calls.
• Monitor tire condition and equipment needs to support preventative maintenance efforts.
• Help maintain compliance with Savage standards and DOT regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, maintenance records, asset tracking, and reporting.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate professionally with operations and maintenance team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned by maintenance and operations leadership.

• Class A CDL preferred but not required

Here are some of the physical requirements for this role:

• Will be on your feet for an extended period throughout the day
• Will regularly lift, walk, stand, climb, crouch, and utilize equipment and tools throughout the shift.
• Navigating the facility will include, but is not limited to, exposure to harsh weather conditions, uneven ground, ladders, racks, other high places, ground that can be slick, icy, or uneven, and other industrial hazards
• The work site is an industrial setting and will require someone who can work safely in this type of environment
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
