Job summary

Bergey’s Inc. is hiring a full-time Tire Technician in Pennsauken, NJ. Perform tire repairs, replacements, and general service to tires and wheels at customer locations, on the road or in the shop. Requires knowledge of passenger/light truck tires and ability to use hydraulic jacks and air tools.

Must have a valid driver’s license, be willing to obtain TIA certification, and pass background checks and drug screening. Salary is hourly with a $2,500 sign-on bonus based on qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire repairs, replacements and general service to tires and wheels.
• Raise vehicle with hydraulic jack and use air tools.
• Mount, dismount, balance, replace and repair passenger & light truck tires.
• Perform alignments on passenger & light trucks.
• Communicate all work performed via tags, work orders or invoices.
• Maintain safety equipment and a safe working environment.
• Maintain a valid driving record.
• Other duties as assigned.

Location: Bergey's Commercial Tire, Pennsauken NJ

Shift: Full Time

Pay: $18 to $21 / hour based on experience

$2,500.00 Sign-On Bonus based on qualifications

Summary:

Perform tire repairs, replacements & general service to tires and wheels at customer's location, on the road or at the shop.

• Raise vehicle with hydraulic jack, use air tools and heavy hand-held tools
• Mount, dismount, balance, replace, and repair Passenger & Light Truck
• Perform Alignments on Passenger & Light Trucks
• Ability to recognize repairable tires and properly perform repair.
• Communicate all work performed via legible writing on tags, work orders and/or invoices.
• Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Use all provided safety equipment including seat belts, gloves, jack stands, wheel chocks, safety glasses, and cages.
• Maintain safe driving record
• Perform daily maintenance to vehicle, tools and equipment.
• Maintain professional relationship with customers
• Performs oil changes and other basic maintenance on Passenger & Light Trucks
• Other tasks as assigned.
• Knowledge of Passenger/Light Truck tires mandatory
• Mechanical experience a plus

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. On feet for entire shift, able to lift/bend throughout shift.
