Job summary

Gills Point S Tire & Auto Service in Morrisville, AL is seeking a Service Technician to help keep customers safe on the road through tire services, inspections, and basic automotive maintenance. Training and support are provided to help you grow your career.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop with competitive pay, full-time hours, and benefits after 60 days, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Automotive or tire experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in an active shop environment
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Positive attitude and good communication skills
• Team player who enjoys helping customers

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance, rotate, and repair tires
• Inspect vehicles for tire wear, damage, and basic maintenance concerns
• Assist customers with tire recommendations and service needs
• Perform basic vehicle services and safety inspections
• Operate shop equipment safely and efficiently
• Help maintain inventory, shop cleanliness, and organization

Physical Requirements:

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 75 pounds, and safely operating shop equipment while working in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be able to perform work both inside the shop and outdoors in varying weather conditions while following all company safety policies.
