Job summary

Gills Point S Tire & Auto in Maine is hiring a Service Technician to help keep customers safe on the road through tire services, inspections, and basic automotive maintenance.

You can have prior tire or automotive experience or start with training provided by us; you'll work in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop with opportunities to grow.

What You’ll Do:

• Mount, dismount, balance, rotate, and repair tires
• Inspect vehicles for tire wear, damage, and basic maintenance concerns

• Help maintain inventory, shop cleanliness, and organization

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Automotive or tire experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in an active shop environment
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Positive attitude and good communication skills
• Team player who enjoys helping customers

Physical Requirements:

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 75 pounds, and safely operating shop equipment while working in a fast‑paced environment. Candidates must be able to perform work both inside the shop and outdoors in varying weather conditions while following all company safety policies.
