Job summary

Suburban Accessories in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Tire Technician to mount and balance wheelsets for GM and Ford dealerships, and to dismount returned rims. You will support tire and wheel operations across North America.

You will work Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with a starting pay of $22-$23 per hour, plus benefits such as medical, dental, 401K, PTO, and growth opportunities within our 75+ year legacy of family-owned service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Demonstrated consistent work history and reliable attendance.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to adapt and learn new automotive technologies.
• Strong mechanical aptitude is essential.
• Background check and drug screen are required.

Responsibilities

• Pull wheels and tires from pull sheet.
• Dismount new tires from scrap/return rims using wheel equipment.
• Mount and balance newly constructed wheelsets using wheel equipment.
• Clean and maintain machines and work area.
• Use RF guns to log completed wheel sets.
• Look up stock and inventory for wheel components.
• Use forklifts to retrieve parts to assemble wheels.
• Stack finished product wheels on a pallet by hand.
• Use a fork or hand truck to stage wheels for shipping.
• Assist other operational departments.
• Adhere to safety and quality control measures.
• Participate in daily huddles and continuous improvement initiatives.

As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for mounting and balancing new wheelsets for GM and Ford dealerships. You will also be responsible for dismounting returned scrap rims from dealerships.

Salary Overview

The pay rate for this role starts at $22-23 per hour based on experience.

Tire Technician Responsibilities Include
