Tire Technician

Hansen Tire & Truck Repair is looking to hire a Tire Technician.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Tire Installation:

    • Mount and balance tires on rims, ensuring proper alignment and fitment.
    • Install and secure tires onto vehicles using appropriate tools and techniques.
    • Properly torque lug nuts or bolts to manufacturer specifications.
  2. Tire Maintenance:

    • Inspect tires for signs of wear, damage, and punctures.
    • Check tire pressure and adjust it to the recommended levels.
    • Rotate tires to ensure even wear and extend tire lifespan.
    • Perform wheel alignments and adjustments as needed.
  3. Tire Repair:

    • Repair flat or damaged tires by patching or plugging punctures.
    • Assess tire damage and determine whether repairs are safe and appropriate.
    • Replace valve stems and other tire-related components as necessary.
  4. Tire Replacement:

    • Remove worn or damaged tires from rims and dispose of them properly.
    • Assist customers in selecting new tires based on their vehicle and driving needs.
    • Mount and balance new tires according to manufacturer specifications.
  5. Customer Interaction:

    • Greet and assist customers in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Provide information and recommendations regarding tire options, brands, and maintenance.
    • Explain the condition of tires and any necessary repairs or replacements to customers.
    • Provide cost estimates and process invoices accurately.
  6. Equipment Maintenance:

    • Maintain and calibrate tire mounting and balancing equipment.
    • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  7. Safety and Compliance:

    • Follow safety protocols and guidelines when working with tires and equipment.
    • Adhere to environmental regulations for tire disposal and waste management.
