Job summary

Moore Tires in Macomb, IL seeks an experienced Tire Tech to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles and equipment. Responsibilities include tire mounting/demounting, alignments, inspections, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; training in automotive repair with willingness to learn.
• Must meet or exceed standards set by industry trade organizations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive vehicles and equipment.
• Test drive repaired vehicles to verify work.
• Inspect engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues.
• Oil changes, brakes, suspensions and other mechanical work.
• Conduct routine maintenance for vehicle longevity.
• Assess tire tread and wear; mount/demount tires, ensure safety.
• Ensure conformance to industry standards and perform alignments.
• Respond to emergency road calls as needed.

We’re looking for an Experienced Tire Tech

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive vehicles and various types of equipment.
• Ability to test drive all vehicles repaired.
• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
• Oil changes, brakes, suspensions & other mechanical work
• Conduct routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
• Assess tread levels and valve quality on tires & check wear patterns.
• Mounts/demounts tires
• Ensures conformance to industry standards
• Examines and repairs tires;
• Performs preventative maintenance; and responds to emergency road calls as needed.
• Perform vehicle alignments

Requirements

Education and/or Experience

Must meet or exceed standards set by the industry recognized trade organizations. High School diploma or GED preferred. Must have some or limited training in automotive repair, with demonstrated ability and desire to learn and develop further in this area.

License/Certification

Valid driver's license required.

Computer Skills:

Entry level knowledge of computer equipment and applicable software applications.
