Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking team members for its retread plants at 1167 N Washington St, Wilkes-Barre, PA. You will participate in the retread process, including inspecting tires, buffing casings, repairing, applying new tread, curing, and final inspection to ensure safety and quality.

Starting pay is $21.50 hourly with OT availability and weekly pay. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, Life Insurance, a 401(k) match, vacation time, tuition reimbursement, and ongoing

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Basic Computer Skills required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the tires to assess if they can be retread.
• Buff the casing to remove worn tread.
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing.
• Repair the casing with rubber cement or patch before applying new tread.
• Build the tire by applying new tread.
• Cure the tire to set the retread application.
• Perform final inspection for safety and quality.
