Columbia County (FL) is seeking a tire service technician to repair and change tires on automotive, construction and maintenance equipment in both shop and field settings.
Responsibilities include preparing daily work records, identifying hazards, and following instructions. A High School diploma with two years’ tire/vehicle experience is preferred; Florida CDL Class B license is required.
This position performs skilled work in the changing and repairing of tires on automotive,constructionand maintenance equipment.Employees in this position repair tires and perform mechanical repairs and service work on trucks, tractors, loaders, road graders and a wide variety of other construction and maintenance equipment.
Responsible for the satisfactory and safe operation of vehicles and equipment under all types of weather conditions on paved and dirt roads.Majority of tasks are performed outdoors and veryfrequentlyin extreme weather conditions.Subjected to insects, noxiousfumesand constant noise.Must?be able to pass a pre-employment physical that screens for?acceptable?eyesight and hearing (with or without correction), the ability to sit for extended periods, and manual dexterity needed to?operate?job relatedmachinery.??
