Job summary

Continental is seeking a Quality Inspector in Sumter, SC to conduct tire semi-product inspections throughout manufacturing, ensuring compliance with Continental Tire WW standards and documenting quality, SPC, and waste data.

You will identify non-conforming materials, stop processes when needed, apply non-conformance procedures, and communicate quality issues to production teams; experience with ISO/TS16949 and related standards is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Certification in tire build/cold prep/quality department advantageous.
• Willing to work selected shift for this position.
• This role is internal only; external applicants will not be considered.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.
• Relocation assistance will not be provided.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tire semi-products to ensure quality according to Continental Tire WW standards.
• Identify and manage non-conforming materials; stop next processes if off-standard materials are used.
• Enter data into the electronic SPC data collection system and prepare daily quality reports.
• Communicate quality issues to production teams and support error-proofing and corrective actions.
• Follow procedures and standards (ISO/TS16949, CCC) and maintain traceable quality documentation.
