Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for a fast-moving consumer goods operation in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will lead a production line, monitor safety, quality, and efficiency, and drive daily targets.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to organize teams across shifts. You will partner with quality and maintenance to ensure continuous improvements and adherence to standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in FMCG manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team across shifts.
• Knowledge of health, safety and quality standards in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide a team of production operators to achieve daily targets.
• Monitor lines for schedules, quality, and safety compliance.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement workflow improvements.
• Ensure training on procedures, safety, and equipment operation.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate objectives and feedback.
• Maintain production records including output, waste, and downtime.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure product integrity.
• Promote a strong safety culture on the floor.
• Contribute to process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage shift handovers to ensure seamless operations.
