Job summary

Gills Point S Tire & Auto is seeking an experienced Tire & Lube Technician to perform tire mounting, balancing, rotations, and basic maintenance. You’ll inspect vehicles, communicate findings to customers, and ensure safety on every job.

In this role, you will also carry out preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and light mechanical repairs, while delivering excellent service and maintaining shop organization.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Automotive, tire, or mechanical experience preferred.
• Technical or vocational automotive training is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with tire mounting, balancing, and repair equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift heavy tires and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles.
• Perform tire services: mount, dismount, balance, rotate, and repair tires; run TPMS service.
• Conduct preventative maintenance: oil changes, fluid checks; filter replacements.
• Perform light mechanical repairs and replacements (brakes, suspension, steering, batteries, lights).
• Greet customers, explain findings, and document service work; assist with inventory and shop organization.
