Day-to-day duties include tire mounting, balancing and TPMS, preventive maintenance, and light mechanical repairs, while upholding safety, clear communication, and accurate service documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Automotive, tire, or mechanical experience preferred.
• Technical or vocational automotive training is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Familiarity with tire mounting, balancing, and repair equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift heavy tires and equipment and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance, rotate, and repair passenger and light truck tires.
• Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
• Recommend tire replacement and maintenance based on vehicle condition.
• Perform TPMS service and understand wheel configurations, bolt patterns, valve stems, and tire specifications.
• Perform oil and filter changes; top off vehicle fluids.
• Inspect and top off fluids including coolant, brake, transmission, and power steering fluids.
• Replace air, cabin, and fuel filters; complete comprehensive vehicle inspections and communicate findings.
• Perform light mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, wiper blades, batteries, headlights/taillights.
• Greet customers, explain inspection findings and maintenance recommendations; maintain service documentation.

What You\'ll Do

As a Service Technician II, you\'ll inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles while ensuring every customer leaves with confidence in the safety and performance of their vehicle.

Tire Services

• Mount, dismount, balance, rotate, and repair passenger and light truck tires.
• Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
• Recommend tire replacement and maintenance based on vehicle condition.
• Perform TPMS service and understand wheel configurations, bolt patterns, valve stems, and tire specifications.

Preventative Maintenance

• Perform oil and filter changes.
• Inspect and top off vehicle fluids, including coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid.
• Perform coolant, brake, and transmission fluid exchanges.
• Replace air, cabin, and fuel filters.
• Complete comprehensive vehicle inspections and communicate findings.

Basic Mechanical Repairs

• Perform light mechanical repairs and replacements, including:
  • Brakes
  • Suspension components
  • Steering components
  • Wiper blades
  • Batteries
  • Headlights and taillights
• Recognize dashboard warning indicators and identify potential maintenance concerns.

Customer Service

• Greet customers professionally and understand their service needs.
• Explain inspection findings and maintenance recommendations.
• Maintain accurate service documentation.
• Assist with inventory, receiving, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Requirements

Professional Development

Physical Requirements:

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 75 pounds, and safely operating shop equipment while working in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be able to perform work both inside the shop and outdoors in varying weather conditions while following all company safety policies.
