Job Description

The General Service Technician role is full-time or part-time and is an hourly position based on the needs of the business. The technician is responsible for performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services according to company standards and manufacturer specifications. The role requires delivering exceptional 5-star service through effective communication of vehicle issues and solutions, ensuring guest expectations for time and quality are met.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently, following Monro standards.
• Conduct tire services such as wheel removal, balancing, patch/plug repairs, mounting, installation, and TPMS service.
• Perform vehicle services including oil changes, lubrications, basic maintenance, battery testing, and installations.
• Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every guest vehicle, identifying and communicating additional needed services.
• Assist in inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking.
• Maintain store cleanliness and ensure it is guest-ready.
• Follow safety standards, including wheel torque, oil safety, and compliance procedures.
• Test drive vehicles per policy, observing safety laws.
• Adhere to company policies, environmental codes, and OSHA standards.
• Maintain technical skills through training courses.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating initiative and strong customer service skills.
