Job Title: Tire and Lube Technician at Lorton Auto Service
As a Tire and Lube Technician, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Performing maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, mounting and balancing tires, checking suspensions, and alignments.
- Following all rules and regulations set forth by management, including those in the employee handbook and any posted addendums.
- Maintaining a positive attitude and promoting a team-oriented environment at all times.
- Representing the organization professionally, demonstrating honesty, integrity, and respectfulness in all interactions.
- Adhering to OSHA safety rules and all relevant city, county, and state safety regulations, especially regarding shop safety, fuel spill cleanup, and handling hazardous materials.
- Assisting in housekeeping and shop cleanliness as directed by management.
- Inspecting vehicles and discussing findings with the service writer or manager, including damage or malfunctions. Providing repair recommendations, parts lists, and labor estimates based on industry-standard guides.
- Performing thorough courtesy inspections on all vehicles with customer approval.
- Ensuring all under-car, under-hood, and preventive maintenance inspections and reports are complete and accurate. Using proper equipment and safety procedures to raise vehicles for mechanical access.
