Job summary

Yokohama TWS is seeking a Warehouse/Material Handler to move and supply materials in the tire building and warehouse areas. You will handle materials safely, assist with timely fulfillment and delivery of products, and contribute to a productive warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, labeling, and inventory tasks, with attention to safety and efficiency. Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience and forklift certification are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Min. 1 year in warehouse/logistics; experience with material handling equipment preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods; ability to bend and lift heavy materials.

Responsibilities

  • Move, load and unload materials within warehouse and manufacturing areas.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Sort, label, and track materials and finished goods.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and storage organization.
  • Prepare shipments and assist with delivery processes.
  • Follow warehouse safety rules and maintain clean work areas.
  • Safely operate forklift and other equipment as trained.
  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitation tasks.
  • Support daily warehouse operations and unloading/receiving tasks.
  • Assist with material movements between loading docks and storage areas.

General Job Description

Move and supply products in the tire building area. Move materials or finished goods. Handle materials in a safe and orderly manner. Assist with the timely fulfilment and delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load materials into tire building machines
  • Handle material, scrap, and waste
  • Sort material and tires
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing material and products
  • Move material to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas
  • Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain inventory
  • Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing, and loading them
  • Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines
  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitation tasks
  • Safely operate a forklift (following appropriate training)
  • Move products in warehouses and manufacturing facilities, either manually or using equipment such as trucks or forklifts. Their responsibilities may include pulling inventory and moving stock and other materials to fulfil orders and unloading product deliveries by pulling them off of trucks and putting them on shelves
Job Requirements
  • Secondary School
  • Min. 1 year of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment preferred
  • Certification to ride forklift truck preferred
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials
