Job summary

Walmart in Chino, CA is seeking a Tire & Battery Center Technician to deliver safe, efficient service in both sales and service areas. You will collaborate with team members to meet member expectations and educate associates on tools, tasks, and resources while mentoring new technicians.

The role requires knowledge of safety protocols, tire and battery guidelines, and POS systems, with hands-on work in the TBC area.

Qualifications

• Valid State-issued Driver's License.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with team to fulfil sales and service requests, educates other associates on tools, tasks, resources and mentors new technicians, communicating and developing interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service.
• Demonstrates knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications and seasonality, and demonstrates knowledge of Point of Sale systems, phone and in‑person selling techniques.
• Leverages digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience and elevate associate engagement, utilizing handheld technology and systems to make immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product application and training, adapting to new tools and encouraging others to use them.
• Communicates equipment, tools and supplies needs to TBC Lead, tracks and monitors returns and special orders, operates cash registers, processes transactions, works hands-on in the physical area, maintains accurate inventory, audits safety and compliance standards, reports TBC complaints, safety hazards and problems with products/services and work areas, completes paperwork logs and other required documentation, ensures merchandise is packaged, labeled and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures, identifies member needs, assists members with purchasing decisions and resolves issues and concerns.
• Acts as a brand ambassador by valuing the members experience in the TBC area and modeling high-quality service and products, developing influencing and inspiring others for working in a style that is respectful, supportive and team-oriented, understanding the roadblocks and assisting in training team members.
