Position Summary
As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. Your goal is to deliver more of what our members love, for less. You will collaborate with other associates to ensure the club meets the member's expectations.
What you'll do
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate others on tools, tasks, and resources, and mentor new technicians. Communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills to provide safe and efficient customer service.
- Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality. Use Point of Sale systems, phone, and in-person selling techniques effectively.
- Be a Techie: Utilize digital tools to plan and drive sales, improve service, and enhance associate engagement. Use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new products, and training.
- Be an Owner: Communicate equipment, tools, and supplies needs, track returns and special orders, operate cash registers, process transactions, and maintain accurate inventory. Ensure merchandise is packaged, labeled, stored according to policies, and assist members with purchasing decisions.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote the brand by providing high-quality service, developing others, and fostering a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented environment. Understand and address roadblocks, and support training efforts.
- Act with Integrity: Uphold high standards of ethics and compliance, support Walmart's values, and be accountable. Act selflessly, humbly, and transparently, supporting a positive culture.
- Serve our Customers and Members: Deliver results with the customer first in mind. Make decisions based on reliable information, and consider long-term impacts.

The hourly wage range is $18.00 to $25.00, with potential premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to successfully complete required trainings and assessments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in auto service industry or retail
