Job summary

Sam's Club Katy is opening a brand-new club in Katy, TX, and we are seeking friendly, dependable associates to help bring it to life. As a founding team member, you will shape the member experience and help create a culture of excellence from day one.

As a Tire and Battery Advisor, you will assist members with tire and battery selections, monitor orders, schedule installations, and provide expert service to keep members safe and on the road.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Minimum Qualifications: 18 years of age or older.
• Preferred Qualifications: Auto service industry.
• Preferred Qualifications: Retail Experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility and sales floor safety by adhering to all safety policies, conducting regular safety sweeps, and promptly correcting or reporting unsafe situations to management.
• Ensure the Tire and Battery Center sales floor is organized, stocked, zoned, and merchandised according to company policies.
• Present and maintain merchandise by stocking, setting up displays, signing and pricing appropriately, and securing high-shrink merchandise.
• Monitor the status of tire and battery orders daily and assist members with appointments for installation.
• Communicate lead time changes and order cancellations to members and make alternative suggestions for installation or tire fitments.
• Assist members with tire maintenance and repair services.
• Use Sam's Garage, product knowledge, and reference materials to recommend the safest and most suitable tire and battery products.
• Triage and prioritize service workflow in TBC service bays, understanding time requirements and maximizing service efficiency.
• Leverage technology and handheld devices to plan sales, improve the service experience, and make real-time business decisions.
• Operate hardware, process member purchases, and assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Serve as a brand advocate by modeling high quality service and products in the TBC area.
