Job summary

The Hertz Corporation in Indianapolis is seeking a Tire and Lube Technician to join our maintenance team. This entry-level role performs preventative maintenance with a focus on oil and tire changes and requires a quick learner with a basic toolset.

You’ll work with lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and scan tools while supporting daily shop operations. A valid driver’s license is required; previous automotive repair experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Entry level position with no required experience; prior automotive repair experience preferred.
• Must perform vehicle repairs with oversight.
• Ability to use shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and scan tools.

Must be a quick learner, and have an assortment of tools, including oil filter wrenches, socket set, and a toolbox to keep them in.

What You’ll Get:

The hourly rate is $17.00.

Educational Background:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Professional Experience:

• Entry level position with no required experience. Preferred prior experience with automotive repair (personal or professional).

Knowledge:

• Must be able to perform vehicle repairs with oversight.
• Ability to use shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and scan tools.

Additional Notes:

• Familiarity with the below tools (to be provided).
  • 3/8” and ½” impact wrench.
  • Sockets wrench - metric and standard - preferably long and short lengths.
  • Oil Filter wrenches and tools.
  • TPMS tool - reset tire sensors.
