Hertz Rent-A-Car Albuquerque is seeking a Tire and Lube Technician to join our maintenance team. This entry-level role focuses on preventative maintenance with emphasis on oil changes and tire service, requiring a quick learner with basic tools.

You’ll perform repairs under supervision, use lifts, tire machines, and scan tools, and you must have your own basic toolbox. A high school diploma is preferred, and previous auto repair experience is a plus.

The Tire and Lube Technician is an entry level position with the Hertz Corporation and is the launching point for our maintenance team. In this role you will be performing preventative maintenance, with a focus on Oil and Tire Changes. Must be a quick learner, and have an assortment of tools, including oil filter wrenches, socket set, and a toolbox to keep them in.

• Hourly Rate is $16.00 + median incentive is approximately $289/month, varies based on job performance

Educational Background

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Professional Experience

• Entry level position with no required experience
• Preferred prior experience with automotive repair (personal or professional)

Knowledge

• Must be able to perform vehicle repairs with oversight
• Ability to use shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and scan tools

Additional Notes

• Must have tools to perform necessary repairs
• Minimum tools needed for the job.
• 3/8” and ½” impact wrench
• Sockets wrench - metric and standard - preferably long and short lengths.
• Oil Filter wrenches and tools
• TPMS tool - reset tire sensors

• Must have a Valid Driver’s License
