Job summary

Perfect Lube in San Carlos, CA is hiring for an Oil Change & Lube Technician with Tire Technician responsibilities. You will perform fast oil changes, service various oil types, replace filters, and conduct basic inspections.

You will also mount/dismount tires, perform tire repairs, balance wheels, and support mobile service when needed. Customer-facing role with emphasis on safety, accurate workmanship, and delivering a friendly, efficient visit for every guest.

Qualifications

• Automotive service or tire experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to safely use automotive tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and work on your feet throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Perform fast, accurate oil and filter changes.
• Service conventional, synthetic blend, and full synthetic oil.
• Replace oil filters, air filters, cabin air filters, wiper blades, and other maintenance items.
• Perform fluid top-offs and basic vehicle inspections.
• Operate fluid exchange and maintenance equipment.
• Check and maintain proper fluid levels.
• Follow manufacturer service recommendations.
• Inspect vehicles for visible maintenance or safety concerns and communicate findings to the customer.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Mount and dismount passenger vehicle tires.
• Perform tire repairs and puncture repairs when appropriate.
• Rotate tires and perform tire pressure checks.
• Balance tires.
• Inspect tires for tread wear, damage, and safety concerns.
• Install new tires properly and safely.
• Perform mobile tire service when needed.
• Properly use tire-changing and balancing equipment.
• Follow all shop safety procedures.
• Greet customers professionally and provide a positive experience.
• Explain recommended services clearly and honestly.
• Answer basic questions about vehicle maintenance.
• Treat every customer's vehicle with care.
