Job summary

Diers Ford in Fremont, NE, is seeking a Tire and Lube Technician to perform oil changes, fluid checks, and basic maintenance with attention to manufacturer specs.

You will inspect belts and filters, top off fluids, mount and balance tires, and assist lead mechanics while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Draining and replacing engine oil per manufacturer specifications.
• Topping off brake, power steering, and windshield wiper fluids.
• Inspecting engine block and underbody for leaks or issues.
• Checking tire pressure and inflating tires to spec.
• Installing air/oil filters, windshield wipers, and batteries.
• Lubricating moving parts and keeping engine clean during service.
• Identifying issues and consulting with lead mechanics.
• Mounting and balancing tires and performing tire repairs.

Job description

This role will mainly be focused on fluid checks and basic maintenance. Typically, a Tire and Lube Technician will change a vehicle's oil and filter. Check and fill fluid levels, inspect various belts and filters, and check air levels and gauges.

Tire and Lube Technician Responsibilities:

• Draining the oil from a vehicle and replacing it to manufacturer specifications
• Topping off other fluids, including brake, power steering and windshield wiper fluid
• Inspecting the engine block and under body for leaks and potential issues
• Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications
• Installing new car parts, such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries
• Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings and ensuring the engine is kept clean throughout servicing
• Identifying existing issues and consulting with lead mechanics on the team to address the vehicles’ issues
• Mounting and balancing of tires , performing tire repairs
