Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. in Emporia, KS seeks a Truck Receiver to move tankers at the Fresh Chicken Dock, receive documents, and keep the receiving area clean. You’ll coordinate with the Fresh Chicken Receiver to unload and return tankers to the staging area and take tanker temperatures per SOP.

Required: CDL Class A with 1 year driving, basic math/reading/writing, good English communication, and adherence to safety and PPE rules.

Responsibilities

• Move tankers in and out of the Fresh Chicken Dock.

• Take temperatures of incoming tankers per SOP.
• Participate in team development and follow company policies.

Job description

The truck operator will be responsible for moving tankers in and out of the Fresh Chicken Dock.

Receiving the incoming documents.

Maintaining the cleanliness of the receiving area.

Partnering with the Fresh Chicken Receiver to unload the tanker.

Return the tanker after the unload to the staging area.

Take temperatures of the incoming tanker per the plant's standard operating procedures.

Participates as a member of the Team

Participates in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforces actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.
