Qualifications

• Previous cook or prep cook experience.
• Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knife.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Possess a valid food handling certificate if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, fresh food products in a timely manner.
• Prepare hot and cold foods following recipes.
• Work as a team player for preparation and delivery of food.
• Report maintenance required for kitchen equipment.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards.
• Test foods to ensure proper cooking.
• Garnish food plates for delivery.
• Consult with chefs to plan menus.
• Demonstrate excellent attendance.
