Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Mix and match stains and pigmented lacquers.
• Conduct quality control checks on outgoing tinted products.
• Maintain color development records as per the Tint Station Manual.
• Stock supplies and assist the Sales Team.

Skills

Previous experience selling paint and paint-related products

Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment

Knowledge or experience with lacquer/color/stain development

Ability to see color (red, blue, green, yellow)

Knowledge of wood products such as species, plywood, and lumber

Strong computer skills

Job description

Position Summary

A Tint Specialist provides customer service in the form of color-matching stains, paints, and glazes, and is responsible for pulling and loading Lacquer orders onto trucks. Responsibilities

• Mixing and matching of stains and pigmented lacquers.
• Perform required quality control checks for all outgoing tinted items.
• Maintain in-depth records of colors developed as outlined in the Tint Station Operations Manual.
• Stocking items.
• Supporting the Lacquer Specialist and Sales Team.
• Pull, catalyze, shake, and stage truck orders for finish.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Keep accurate log of any pour-offs of bad material and deposit into the waste drum with proper labeling.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned.
