Job summary

Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Workforce Management specialist to serve as the UKG WFM expert for US and Canadian operations. You will design, test, assess risks, and execute tasks to adopt new features or changes in scheduling and timekeeping.

You will collaborate with HRMS, IT, Payroll, and vendors to align roadmaps and ensure legal compliance. The role requires 3–5 years in workforce management with strong data analysis, BI reporting, and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, finance, information systems, supply chain, operations management, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in workforce management functionality in scheduling, time and attendance and reporting.
  • Experience implementing or supporting HCM/workforce management/time & attendance/scheduling systems (e.g., UKG Pro, Kronos Workforce Dimensions, Kronos Central, ADP eTime, Dayforce) preferred.
  • Ability to synthesize workforce data to provide clear, decisive, and actionable insights that inform business operations decisions for time/attendance and scheduling.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT and vendor partners (UKG).
  • Experience with BI tools and Excel for reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as SME for UKG WFM Timekeeping, Attendance Tracking and Scheduling across U.S. & Canada; design, test, analyze risks, and execute tasks.
  • Partner with HRMS, IT, Payroll and vendors to prioritize enhancements and deliver workforce management roadmaps.
  • Ensure Timekeeping and Scheduling compliance with federal, state/provincial, local laws and governance in U.S. and Canada.
  • Monitor and validate accurate capture of worked hours, attendance exceptions, PTO/leave, and schedule adherence before payroll.
  • Optimize timekeeping, attendance, and scheduling processes; recommend and implement workflow improvements.
  • Support internal and external audits; prepare audit docs, track findings, and implement remediation actions.
  • Provide reporting and analytics on time & attendance data and support forecasting labor models and scheduling strategies.
  • Develop documentation, training materials, and workforce management best practices for stakeholders.

Job description

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as subject matter expert for UKG WFM Timekeeping, Attendance Tracking and Scheduling functionality across U.S. and Canadian operations including participating in design, testing, analyzing risks, and executing project tasks to adopt break/fix, new functionalities or change processes.
  • Partners with HRMS, IT, Payroll, and vendors to prioritize enhancements and deliver workforce management technology roadmaps.
  • Ensure that Timekeeping, Attendance Tracking and Scheduling functionality complies with applicable laws and regulations (federal, state/provincial, local) and corporate governance requirements in U.S. and Canada.
  • Monitor and validate accurate capture of worked hours, attendance exceptions (late arrivals, no-shows, early departures, breaks, failure to punch), PTO/leave usage, and schedule adherence prior to payroll processing.
  • Optimize Timekeeping, Attendance Tracking, and Scheduling functionality and processes related to workforce/timekeeping/ scheduling and labor balance monitoring; and recommend and implement improvements to workflow, controls, documentation and automation.
  • Support internal and external audits of timekeeping, attendance and scheduling processes; and prepare audit documentation, track findings, and implement remediation actions.
  • Provide reporting and analytics on time & attendance data (e.g., absence trends, exception volumes, schedule adherence, labor cost variances) and support the development of forecasting labor models, staffing recommendations and scheduling strategies.
  • Develop documentation, training materials, and workforce management best practices for various stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Finance, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in workforce management functionality in scheduling, time and attendance and reporting features or equivalent in a large, complex, multi‑jurisdiction (U.S. and Canada) enterprise environment.
  • Experience implementing or supporting HCM / workforce management / time & attendance / scheduling systems (e.g., UKG Pro, Kronos Workforce Dimensions, Kronos Central, ADP eTime, Dayforce, or similar or equivalent) highly preferred.
  • Ability to synthesize workforce data to provide clear, decisive, and actionable insights that inform business operations decisions for time/attendance and scheduling.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with business operations leaders and staff, Payroll, HRMS, HR, Finance and vendor partners (UKG).
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct analysis and generate reports using system and data analysis tools (BI, Smartsheet) and Excel.
Preferred
  • Manufacturing, distribution, forestry, logistics, or industrial operations experience.
  • Experience supporting unionized work environments.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar platforms.
  • Professional certifications related to workforce management, project management, analytics, HR, or HRIS systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel with in‑depth knowledge of formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups; strong working knowledge of other Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively with business leaders, stakeholders, HR, Finance, IT and vendor partners (UKG).
Location

The preferred location is based out of our Seattle, WA headquarters; however, this role is open to candidates who live in (or are planning to move to) one of the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington. This role is not open to those who live in other states or countries.

Compensation

This role is eligible for our annual merit‑increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $82,500 to $123,800 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement

Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation

We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours.
