Job summary

Manulife Investment Management – Timberland and Agriculture (MIMTA) is the timberland and agriculture asset management division of Manulife Investment Management. The Resource Analyst supports acquisitions, asset management, and resource modeling across regions worldwide, with a focus on North America.

This role contributes to investment analysis, harvest scheduling, and education materials for stakeholders, partnering with GRP and portfolio teams to drive value and informed decision making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in forestry or equivalent experience.
  • Graduate degree in forestry or related field desirable.
  • At least two years in timber valuation or related forest roles.
  • Understanding of forest finance, DCF, GIS, and related tools.
  • Strong writing and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead underwriting of timberland acquisitions and carbon projects.
  • Assist with investment modeling, due diligence, parcelization, and closing.
  • Review LTPs, CPMPs, and third-party appraisals.
  • Prepare investment materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide analysis for accounting and portfolio management teams.
