Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a forestry-focused analyst to support underwriting and investment modeling for timberland acquisitions in the United States. You will assist with due diligence, parcelization, and closing while preparing materials for internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Forestry or related experience, with 2+ years in timber valuation or forest operations, and knowledge of forest finance, GIS, and harvest scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in forestry or equivalent experience.
• Experience in timber valuation, resource modeling, or forest operations.
• Knowledge of forest finance, DCF, inventory, and GIS.
• Experience with harvest scheduling and growth/yield models.
• Strong writing and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Support—and, over time, lead the underwriting of timberland acquisitions and investment strategies with carbon projects.
• Assist with all phases of property acquisitions including modeling, due diligence, parcelization, and closing.
• Review annual Long-Term Plans and third-party appraisals; prepare materials for stakeholders.
• Provide information to accounting and portfolio management teams; support investment modeling and decision support.
• Analyze and support resource valuation for acquisitions and assets; assist with harvest scheduling and modeling.
