Construction Resources in Charleston, SC is seeking a diligent Material Handler to support warehouse and distribution operations. You will move, load, and unload tile and stone products, inspect materials for damage, and keep accurate inventory records to ensure smooth workflow.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and proactive communication with suppliers and carriers to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, cycle counts, and space optimization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience as a material handler in a warehouse environment preferred, especially in tile/stone.
• Experience loading and unloading trucks.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Safely move, load, and unload tile and stone products using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Inspect materials for damage and ensure they meet quality standards before handling or shipment.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and locations.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in periodic physical inventories.
• Collaborate with inventory control to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Assist in arranging and optimizing storage spaces for efficient material flow.
• Adhere to safety protocols and report any safety concerns promptly.
