POOLCORP is a leading distributor of outdoor living products with a focus on swimming pool supplies, irrigation, equipment, and landscape items. The Nashville team serves walk-in and phone customers, helping them choose products and solutions that meet their needs.

As a Customer Service Associate, you will educate customers, demonstrate products, process orders, and manage payments while delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer-service attitude and ability to work with customers for long periods.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented personality.
• Good computer skills including MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships with walk-in and phone customers, representing POOLCORP professionally.
• Learn customer needs and buying habits to recommend products and solutions.
• Educate customers on terminology, features and benefits to improve sales and satisfaction.
• Provide product demos to qualified customers on request.
• Enter sales orders accurately to generate invoices for pickup or delivery.
• Secure payment of invoices per company policy.
• Estimate delivery dates based on vendor schedules.

Location: SPP Nashville, TN - 423A, 124 Powell Place, Nashville, Tennessee - 37204

Pay: $25 / hour and up to $2,500 through our performance bonuses

Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

What to Expect?

• Establishes relationships with customers by assisting walk-in and phone customers, representing the company in a professional manner.
• Understands the needs of the customers and learns their buying habits and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions.
• Educates customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction.
• Provide product demos to qualified customers on request.
• Accurately performs data entry of sales orders to generate an invoice of products ordered to be picked up or delivered.
• Secures payment of invoice with proper funds or obtain credit authorization in accordance with company policy.
• Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of vendor’s production and delivery schedules.
• Makes follow-up calls to potential and existing customers to solicit additional business.
• Handles questions and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintains neat, professional product displays, changing displays once monthly.
• Promotes monthly sales specials.
• Other job related duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong product knowledge in the swimming pool, landscaping, irrigation, and outdoor living industries preferred.
• Strong counter "presence" and the ability to deal directly with customers for a large portion of the day.
• Strong customer-service attitude.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented personality.
• Good computer skills including MS Office programs.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment dealing with inventory, product allocations and customer issues.
• Familiarity with a related product line such as pool supplies, parts, chemicals or pool construction helpful.
• To be 18 years of age or older to apply.
