Job summary

POOLCORP, the world’s leading distributor of pool, outdoor living and irrigation products, is seeking an inside sales associate in New Jersey. You will assist customers, process orders, and provide delivery estimates while maintaining showroom stock and using a handheld scanner in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and cross-training across warehouse duties; high school diploma required with 1+ year inside sales preferred.

• Excellent customer service attitude and ability to interact with customers throughout the day.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office and basic systems.
• 1+ years of related inside sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist walk-in and phone customers with product questions, orders and service needs.
• Enter sales orders, generate invoices, and process payments or credit authorizations.
• Recommend products based on customer needs and product availability.
• Evaluate warranty items per warranty policy and customer needs.
• Provide estimated delivery dates based on vendor schedules.
• Pull, stage and distribute customer orders; may use an RF scanner.
• Restock showroom merchandise to maintain availability and presentation.
• Cross-train in receiving, shipping and general warehouse duties.

Location: Cinnaminson, NJ (Jet Line) - 686; 1400 Taylors Lane, Cinnaminson, New Jersey - 08077

Pay: $20 - $25 / hour + performance bonuses up to $2,500.

Work Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:30PM

What to Expect?

• Assists walk-in and phone customers with product questions, orders, and service needs.
• Accurately enters sales orders, generates invoices, and processes payments or credit authorizations according to company policy.
• Recommend products and solutions based on customer needs and product availability.
• Evaluates and determines disposition of warranty items handled at the counter, as prescribed by the manufacturer's warranty policy and customer needs.
• Provides an estimated date of delivery to the customer based on knowledge of the vendor’s production and delivery schedules.
• Pulls, stages, and distributes customer orders efficiently, including occasional use of an RF scanner.
• Restocks and replenishes showroom merchandise to maintain product availability and presentation.
• Cross-trains in receiving, shipping, and general warehouse duties to support overall branch operations.

What You Will Need?

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent customer service attitude and comfortable interacting directly with customers for most of the day.
• Strong computer skills, including the ability to use basic computer systems and MS Office.
• Ability to safely move products weighing up to 100 lbs. using equipment such as a dolly.
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED, 1+ years of related inside sales experience, Familiarity with pool supplies, parts, chemicals, or pool construction/maintenance

The compensation range for this position in New Jersey is between $20 and $25 based on a full-time schedule. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications and experience. Additionally, this position may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commissions plans as well as relocation or cost of living adjustments.
