Job description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a hands‑on leader to own end‑to‑end system and process readiness for the Logistics Dispatch and Transportation execution layer. This role is accountable for building scalable SOPs, driving training and operational readiness, and ensuring dispatch, handoff, and transportation system capabilities are successfully deployed and adopted across Middle Mile, Last Mile, and carrier partners.

This role operates at the intersection of Middle Mile, Last Mile Operations, Transportation, Sorting Centers, Product, Engineering, and 3P Carriers, translating complex transportation and dispatch system capabilities into simple, executable processes, clear documentation, and effective training programs that enable consistent, high‑quality execution at scale.

The ideal candidate is an execution‑focused leader who can take ownership, simplify ambiguity, and deliver practical solutions that work in live transportation environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of dispatch, load planning, carrier handoff, and transportation execution SOPs.
  • Standardize end‑to‑end processes across Middle Mile and Last Mile dispatch workflows.
  • Translate transportation system capabilities into clear, executable operational processes.
  • Ensure SOPs are scalable, audit‑ready, and aligned across sites and 3P carriers.
Training & Operational Readiness
  • Design and deliver training programs, playbooks, and certification materials for dispatch teams, site operators, and 3P transportation partners.
  • Lead system readiness and launch preparedness for new dispatch tools, TMS features, and transportation workflows.
  • Own training strategy for new lane launches, carrier onboarding, and major system or process changes.
  • Ensure teams and partners are fully enabled to execute new workflows with high quality and compliance.
Cross‑Functional Program Leadership
  • Partner closely with Middle Mile, Last Mile, Transportation, Sorting Center Ops, Product, and Engineering teams.
  • Act as the operational voice in transportation and dispatch system design.
  • Drive alignment across internal teams and external carriers to deliver against readiness milestones.
  • Own end‑to‑end execution for dispatch and transportation system rollouts across multiple regions and sites.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify execution gaps, failure modes, and friction points across dispatch and transportation workflows.
  • Design simple, practical solutions to complex transportation and system challenges.
  • Lead root cause analysis for missed SLAs, handoff failures, and dispatch defects.
  • Implement sustainable fixes through process, system enhancements, or training updates.
Documentation, Communication & Change Management
  • Develop clear, high‑quality documentation including SOPs, job aids, carrier playbooks, and training materials.
  • Communicate changes, expectations, and readiness requirements clearly to internal teams and 3P partners.
  • Drive structured change management to ensure adoption and sustained execution.
  • Provide leadership‑level updates on readiness, risks, and execution status.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience leading cross‑functional programs in transportation, logistics, dispatch, or supply chain environments.
  • Experience owning process design, SOPs, training, and operational readiness in transportation or multi‑site networks.
  • Experience working across Middle Mile, Last Mile, Transportation, Operations, Product, Engineering, and/or 3P carriers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to create clear, executable SOPs and training materials.
  • Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and drive execution without perfect information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with TMS, dispatch systems, load planning tools, and transportation execution platforms.
  • Exposure to carrier onboarding, lane launches, and transportation network scaling.
  • Familiarity with SLA management, carrier performance management, and exception handling.
  • Experience supporting new transportation tools or major workflow changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex transportation systems into frontline‑ready processes.
