Job summary

AVANTech, LLC is seeking an experienced welder foreman in Columbia, SC to lead TIG welders, perform TIG/MIG/Flux welding, and oversee pipe fitting on stainless steel skids. You will read blueprints, manage fabrication to drawings, and ensure QC and safety on site.

Experience with ASME code and DOD/DOE work is a plus; travel-ready individuals will be preferred. This is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role offering competitive pay and career development.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience overseeing TIG welders.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings and supervise welding to spec.
• Experience welding and building stainless steel skids.
• ASME code knowledge (Section VIII a plus).
• Knowledge of DOD/DOE work is a plus.
• Understanding of work travelers.

Responsibilities

• Lead welding operations including TIG/MIG/Flux welding and pipe fitting.
• Build and install skids with stainless steel piping and equipment.
• Read blueprints and ensure fabrication meets drawings.
• Ensure QC requirements and safety standards.
• Coordinate with project teams on travel and site work.
