Axle Box Innovations is seeking a skilled TIG welder to join our fabrication team. You will read blueprints, set up welding equipment, and produce high-quality welds for stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel components.

The role requires 2+ years of TIG welding experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a manufacturing environment with proper PPE and safety procedures. Collaboration with fabrication and quality teams is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of TIG welding experience or equivalent training/certification.
• Ability to pass a TIG weld test (if applicable).
• Strong understanding of welding techniques and metallurgy.
• Basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools (calipers, tapes, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions.
• Set up welding equipment, including tungsten selection and machine settings.
• Ensure welds meet quality standards for appearance and structural integrity.
• Inspect completed welds using measuring tools and visual inspection techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Collaborate with fabrication and quality teams to meet production goals.
• Perform minor equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
