Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology in Austin, TX is seeking a TIG Welder III to perform advanced welding with minimal supervision, interpreting complex drawings and AWS codes to meet blueprint requirements. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two-year welding program or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and AWS welding symbols.
• Strong understanding of TIG/MIG welding procedures & processes.

Responsibilities

• Receives instructions, prints and work orders for the job. Plans details of working procedure and tools and material requirements.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment.
• Assume responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment.
• Observe and practice safety procedures and policies.
• Performs advanced welding activities with minimum instructions and supervision.
• Interprets complex blueprints, manufacturing drawings and written work instructions, as well as reads and interprets AWS welding symbols.
• Sets up welding equipment in accordance with the appropriate weld process specifications (WPS).
• Completes weldments to the applied AWS welding code and blueprint requirements.
• Positions weldment details using fixtures, jigs, tape measure, square, rule, and caliper to meet blueprint and quality requirements.
• Observes and practices safety procedures and policies.
