Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a TIG Welder to join our Level Measurement Solutions team in Illinois. You will layout, cut, deburr, and TIG weld metal components, ensuring welds meet codes and quality standards.

You will follow standard work and maintain a clean, safe work area while learning new skills to improve overall efficiency. The role requires 3–5 years of welding experience, ability to read and write in English, basic math and measurement tool use, and physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years’ welding experience.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Basic Windows computer literacy.
• Basic math and ability to use measurement tools.
• Ability to use hand tools and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Color vision and depth perception.

Responsibilities

• Follow current Standard Work with excellence, including accountability for quality.
• Identify and remediate nonconforming conditions with supervision.
• Eliminate waste and improve safety, quality, throughput, and teamwork.
• Maintain 5S organized work area and cleanliness.
• Operate TIG welding equipment and fit/setup tools as needed.
