Job summary

AMETEK LMS in Illinois is seeking a second-shift Senior Fab Welder to join our production team. You will weld chambers and other devices for level and flow measuring equipment used worldwide, with opportunities to increase responsibilities and compensation based on performance.

Key duties include executing standard welding work, setting up and inspecting tools, solving simple issues, maintaining 5S work areas, and training others to raise efficiency while following AMETEK procedures and code of

Qualifications

5–7 years welding experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and write in English.
Basic computer literacy (Windows).
Basic math skills and ability to use measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform Welding Standard Work with excellence and accountability.
Fit, setup, operate, inspect and troubleshoot tools for MIG, STICK, TIG and Flux core welding.
Identify and alert for remediation of out-of-standard conditions.
Identify and propose ideas to improve safety, quality, throughput, and teamwork.
Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S methods.
Continuously learn new job skills within the workflow/plant.
Execute all work according to AMETEK procedures and code of conduct.
Train others to improve efficiency.
